If it looks like a Pokemon, fights like a Pokemon, and sounds like a Pokemon, then it probably is a... Pal. A new trailer of Palworld has been released.
The trailer showcases Anubis, one of the Pal that will appear in the upcoming monster-collecting game, and if you hear the name, you probably know what it looks like without watching. It basically looks like a cuter version of the Egyptian god Anubis.
The big difference with a Pokemon, which goes for all the critters in Palworld, is that you can shoot it, as the game introduces a brand new third-person shooter into the popular monster-collecting formula that fans of Game Freak's games are intimately familiar with.
You can check out Anubis in action below. I have to admit that looking at a monster that looks so much like a Pokemon being shot feels somewhat... unholy.
This video is part of the "Paldeck" series, which will continue to introduce new Pals in detail. Yes. They're definitely wearing their inspiration on the sleeve.
Anubis is described as "the king of the desert, whose high intelligence and otherworldly combat abilities slaughter all who stand in his way."
