Genshin Impact developer Mihoyo is reportedly working on a new AAA game -- an exciting prospect for fans of the company's open-world RPG and other titles such as Honkai Impact 3rd.
We all know by now that Genshin Impact has proven to be an extraordinarily popular game ever since it launched late last year. It most recently celebrated its anniversary (and threw in some bonus items to soothe upset players). Shortly thereafter, we got to enjoy the launch of Genshin Impact Version 2.2; shortly afterward, new details on Version 2.3 were leaked online.
Fewer people are aware of Mihoyo's other game Honkai Impact 3rd -- that's a somewhat older title that just got a spin-off called Honkai: Star Rail announced last week. Now, a keen-eyed fan has noticed what may be clues about another new project from Genshin Impact developer Mihoyo.
What We Know About the New Game from Genshin Impact Developer Mihoyo
The information on a new game from Genshin Impact developer Mihoyo comes from a tweet from Faizan Shaikh. This tweet shows the LinkedIn page of a company employee which features some particularly juicy text.
Here's what the employee's LinkedIn Page reportedly said:
Currently working with incubation teams as the product/marketing lead on an unannounced AAA project. Working closely with Game Director and Studio Head to develop a brand vision for a new IP and provide player insights that informs product strategy.
Unfortunately, the text in question is no longer live on the employee's LinkedIn Page, and the entire section relating to this "unannounced AAA project" has subsequently been removed.
We haven't seen this text on the LinkedIn page firsthand, so we can't guarantee that it's accurate; as always, take leaks like this with a grain of salt. We've reached out to Mihoyo for confirmation and will update this article when we receive a reply.
