Earlier today, developer and publisher miHoYo revealed in their latest Developers Letter that there will be a way to obtain gadgets from events that players have missed in Genshin Impact Version 2.2. In Genshin Impact Version 2.2, players will be able to use Mora to purchase the Windblume Festival Commemorative Balloon, Windsong Lyre, and Wind-Blessed Harpastum gadgets from Marjorie's store in Mondstadt. So, if you've missed out and want to get some gadgets, you'll have your chance in Version 2.2.

Recently, there's been a bit of an uproar regarding how miHoYo have treated their players. It was especially galling because this is a game that's been making them hundreds of millions of dollars every month. So, with the poor reception to Genshin Impact's anniversary event leading to the game's Google Play Store score dropping to two stars, all eyes are on miHoYo as Genshin Impact Version 2.2 October 13 release date inches ever closer.

What else is coming in Genshin Impact Version 2.2 and beyond?

Version 2.2 will see some optimization regarding the opacity of some effects that will be reduced. The crosshair when bow characters change to Aiming Mode will be easier to see, which should come as a sigh of relief to many players. Another brightness change will see Raiden Shogun's Chakra Desiderata reduce its brightness in "various lighting environments." Further optimization will have players being able better see enemy information while playing through Spiral Abyss. This will include optimizing enemy information and seeing it while changing floors.

Previously chosen options for Hangout Events on the same device will be saved. In a future Version, Travelers will have their default party restored when switching from co-op to single-player, with co-op players being replaced by a member of the defaulting party if they leave the party.

For those poor souls using PlayStation 5 DualSense controllers up until now in Genshin Impact, Dualsense users will be able to use the full functionality of their controllers.

Inazuma's transport commissions were also noted to be too long, and to accommodate this miHoYo will increase the HP and movement speed of transported goods so players can complete the quests faster.

Coming in future versions (not Version 2.2) are Photo Frame Furnishings, which will display the Hangout Memories of Hangout Events. Travelers will be able to select Hangout Memories according to their preferences to display in their realms. Also, furnishings that play music may also come eventually.

Last but not least is a fixed issue in singleplayer where originally the duration and cooldown of an opponents' skills wouldn't stop after the game was paused. After the fix, some enemies will no longer be able to switch to another skill as quickly as when players pause the game. Also, some enemies with different attack phases will not be able to change phases quickly because skill duration cannot be paused.
