Sega has revealed new details and a few new screenshots of the upcoming Yakuza game Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
We start with a look at subquests. Since protagonist Kazuma Kiryu is working with the jack-of-all-trades Akame in Sotenbori, he will receive a wide variety of requests that divert from the main story.
Below you can see the menu dedicated to them, showing a map with the relevant locations and a description for each.
In some of the sidequests, familiar characters from the series and even unexpected people from another franchise will make an appearance.
Below you can see him meet a "flashy old lady" whom fans will recognize as Etsuko, who appeared in several Yakuza/Like a Dragon games before.
At the top of the post, you can see another screenshot showing a meeting with another familiar face. Described as a "rough ma hailing from Kamurochi," it's obviously Kaito, the beloved sidekick from the Judgment series.
After all, the two series share the setting, so this shouldn't be too shocking, but it's a nice nod to the fact that they coexist in the same world.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be released on November 9 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
