Like a Dragon Infinite Wealth - Kazuma Kiryu and Ichiban Kasuga Stare at the Camera

Today Sega hosted a new Ryu Ga Gotoku summit focusing on Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and its sequel, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

The first reveal is the opening cutscene of Like a Dragon Gaiden, featuring the theme song "Kataoki" written by Yojiro Noda and performed by rapper J.I.D.

The video is quite romantic and nostalgic. You can check it out below.

Next, we get the release date of Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, which will be on January 26, 2024, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.

Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate editions will be available for purchase.

The announcement was accompanied by an extensive trailer providing a much more in-depth look into the story of the game.

The trailer starts by focusing mostly on Ichiban Kasuga, but Kazuma Kiryu appears later to save the day. We also get to see some more familiar faces and what appear to be moving reunions.

I don't know about you, but the trailer is really intense, and it made me literally scream. If you're a veteran fan of the series, you likely will as well.

As a matter of fact, I wouldn't be surprised if many of you found it a little bit spoiler-filled, so please watch it at your own risk.

We also learn that Dwight will be played in English by Danny Trejo while Masataka Ebina will be voiced by Daniel Dae Kim.

Yet, that's not all, as we get a gameplay trailer showing off the mechanics,  features, and minigames.

Incidentally, we hear from Producer Masayoshi Yokoyama that the game is still an RPG like Yakuza: Like a Dragon as Kazuma Kiryu isn't fighting alone. He'll have to rely on his friends, and RPG is the most suitable system for that.

That being said, the system has been changed so that characters have full freedom of movement during their turn.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will release on November 9 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.

If you'd like to see more, you can take a look at the previous trailer and read our hands-on preview in which our Courtney Ehrenhofler defined the game as "a welcome return to form."

If you'd like to see more about Infinite Wealth, you can also check out its own previous trailer.
