Today Sega revealed new information about the upcoming Yakuza game Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and its sequel Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
We get to see a long new trailer of the game introduced by Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio head Masayoshi Yokoyama himself.
The trailer showcases both story and characters, providing an in-depth look at what we can expect, on top of the action gameplay that is explained in a "101" section of the video. We also get the first full look at the Cabaret Club (Hostess Club) experience.
Of course, minigames and retro games from the Sega library will also be part of the fun.
As a surprise, at the end of the trailer we get a glimpse at the sequel Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth and we learn that a "Special Trial Version" will be included in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
Interestingly, this will also include special scenes that won't be in the final game.

On top of this, during a livestream from Japan, Sega also shared new details about its plans for showcasing the game.
Yakuza game Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will be showcased at Gamescom between August 23 and August 27, while the previously-revealed RGG Summit Fall 2023 event in Japan has been dated and will be hosted on September 20, 2023, just before Tokyo Game Show.
Of course, the game will also be present at TGS between September 21 and September 24, where plenty of dedicated merchandise will be available for purchase in collaboration with Cospa. A photo spot featuring the world view of the game will also be available.
Interestingly, the playable demo will then tour Japan and will be available to enjoy in several cities across the country.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will launch on November 9 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. If you want to see more, you can take a look at more gameplay showcasing Kiryu's two fighting styles and the previous trailer.
