Today, during the Summer Game Fest show, Sega revealed the release date of its upcoming Yakuza game Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, alongside a new trailer.
The game will launch on November 9 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. Digital pre-orders are available now.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will mark the return of protagonist Kazuma Kiryu and showcase the events between Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and the next game, Like a Dragon 8, which will see Kiryu-san share the protagonist role with Yakuza: Like a Dragon hero Ichiban Kasuga and will release in 2024 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
The new trailer showcases our returned hero, now going by the code name “Joryu,” as he goes into a new undercover adventure across Sotenbori, Yokohama, and the mysterious Castle Arena. He certainly hasn't lost even a tiny bit of his charm.
You can watch him in action below. While we already knew of the release date due to the leak earlier this morning, the trailer more than makes up for it.

We already know that Sega will be hosting a reveal event on June 15, when we'll likely see more. Recently, the publisher announced the winner of the Grand Prix of its audition, YouTuber and Vtuber Kson. She will play a small role in Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and a bigger one in Like a Dragon 8.
