Today Sega released new screenshots and details of the upcoming Yakuza game Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
We learn more about the story, continuing what we heard a few weeks ago. Following the incident described in the previous article, Kiryu meets Akame, a mysterious woman who knows a lot about the underworld in Sotenbori, Osaka.
She receives information from all over the district through her "Akame Network," with homeless people being her eyes and ears and reporting to her. She also takes on risky requests that others would ignore.
Kiryu, who decides to help Akame with her "anything goes" business starts deepening his friendship with her while solving the problems of the local underworld.
We then hear about three characters.
The Head Priest, played by Ikkyu Juki, is described as follows:
A man who serves as the head priest of the Daidoji. Detached from his earthly desires, he enjoys playing Go by himself all day long. He is one of the few people Kiryu confides in.
Yoshimura is portrayed by Mitsuaki Kanuka.
A manager in the Daidoji faction who specializes in violence. Yoshimura prioritizes the faction above all else, ruthlessly eliminating those who pose a threat. He openly expresses his contempt for Kiryu, a man who shows no allegiance.
Next is the Boss, played by Hiroshi Naka.
Other than the fact that he is a high-ranking officer in the Daidoji faction, not much else is known about this wheelchair-bound old man. As someone who possesses a significant amount of power within the organization, he demands Kiryu to keep the pact he made with the Daidoji.
