One of the biggest elements of discussion among fans of survival games is the durability of tools and weapons, and LEGO Fortnite just got a big change on that front.

As shared on X (Formerly Twitter) by Epic Games, the durability of all tools and weapons has now been increased by 30%.

That's a pretty massive boost that means that players won't have to return to the crafting table so often, which is great since you can't repair your tools in LEGO Fortnite just yet and durability decay cannot be tweaked as you can do in other survival games.

It's worth mentioning that when you log into your existing world after this update for the first time, you'll find your weapons and tools with a shorter durability bar compared to how you've left them.

This is because Epic has tweaked only the maximum durability of the items, while their current durability has not been changed and displays as a smaller percentage of the maximum. To take advantage of the new setting, you'll need to craft new weapons and tools.

LEGO Fortnite is currently playable for free on all platforms for which Fortnite is available. It debuted last week with massive numbers (around 2.4 million concurrent players at its peak), and it's part of a trio of completely new experiences announced at the Big Bang Live event two weeks ago.

The other two games are Rocket Racing by Rocket League studio Psyonix and Fornite Festival by Rock Band developer Harmonix. All three games are now fully playable within the main game, furthering Epic Games' ambition to turn it into a full-fledged metaverse.

Incidentally, speaking of LEGO Fortnite, you can still unlock the brand-new Explorer Emilie skin by connecting your Epic Games account with your LEGO Insider account as part of the collaboration between the two companies that led to the creation of the game.

While the jury is still out on whether the game will be able to seriously challenge its obvious target, Minecraft (which would arguably be good for Minecraft as well), it's nice to see that the developers are listening to the player base.
