Lego Fortnite, Fortnite Festival, nd Rocket Racing

During its Big Bang Live event hosted today, Fortnite creator Epic Games announced three brand new games that will become playable within Fortnite itself.

The first is LEGO Fortnite, coming on December 7. It'll be the first embodiment of a long-term partnership between Epic Games and LEGO.

Unlike what you may expect, it's not a Battle Royale game. It is instead a crafting survival game like Minecraft, Ark, or Conan Exiles, which admittedly is a perfect match for LEGO.

The second game is Rocket Racing, an arcade racer developed by Rocket League creators Psyonix, if you want to play Mario Kart without Nintendo characters, but in Fortnite, this has you covered. It will be released on December 8.

The third game to complement Epic Games' metaverse ambitions is Fortnite Festival, releasing on December 9.

This is a rhythm game that you can play both solo or with friends, developed by none other than Rock Band creators Harmonix. Season 1 will start with a collaboration with The Weeknd as the game's first music icon.

Unfortunately, the event was so massively sought after, that the servers were absolutely slammed, causing major outages. If you didn't manage to enjoy it, below you can watch a full video which includes the reveals of the new games.

On top of that, another showing will happen at 8:00 p.m. PST, 11:00 p.m. EST, 4:00 a.m. GMT, or 5:00 a.m. CET depending on where you live, as announced by Epic Games on X (Formerly Twitter).

Epic Games wanted to perform multiple screenings, but it won't be possible due to technical issues. As such, they have announced compensation for everyone who played the OG Season as follows.

  • 750,000 OG Pass XP
  • The Clawz Retro Back Bling
  • Spectra Knight quests will autocomplete

Just earlier today, we learned that the OG Season will return at some point in 2024, having brought massive crowds to Fortnite, which achieved 100 million players in November.

Fortnite is a free-to-play battle royale game and aspiring metaverse developed by Epic Games. It's available one way or another on pretty much every platform that can run games.
