Today Honkai: Star Rail developer Hoyoverse presented the next update coming to the popular free-to-play game.
The update is numbered 1.2 and titled "Even Immortality Ends." It'll release on July 19.
You can watch the trailer below and the version with Japanese voice-overs on the official YouTube channel.
HoYoverse hosted a livestream that started with the trailer of the update, which incidentally provided the first animated look at Imbibitor Lunae. We then get to see the three new characters that will be available via gacha in the update, Blade (5-star, Wind, Destruction), Kafka (5-star, Lightning, Nihility), and Luka (Physical, Nihility). Two new five-star light cones were also presented, "Unreachable Side" featuring Blade (Destruction) and "Patience Is All You Need" featuring Kafka (Nihility).
As usual, the banners will be divided into two phases. The first titled "A Lost Soul" includes Blade with Arlan, Sushang, and Natasha. The second titled "Nessun Dorma" includes Kafka and Luka with Sampo and Serval.
The update will include two new areas within the Xianzhou Loufu, Alchemy Commission and Scalegorge Waterscape. The second will also bring forth a brand new boss which will also join the Echoes of War. A new Stagnant Shadow (Shape of Celestial) will also appear.
New events include Tales of the Fantastic, Underground Treasure Hunt, Where Are You, Mystery Trotter, Forgotten Hall Memory of Xianzhou, World 7 of the Simulated Universe, Planar Fissure, and a new Cavern Relic. New companion missions are Letter from a Strange Woman (Kafka) and I Have Touched the Sky (Yukong).
As is a tradition for HoYoVerse, we also get codes to unlock free Stellar Jades and more goodies, you can find them below alongside the full livestream.
