Today HoYoverse revealed an interesting group of villains who will play an important role in the story of the sci-fi turn-based RPG Honkai: Star Rail with a brand new story teaser trailer.
We get to meet the Annihilation Gang, led by the threatening Duke Inferno, herald of the path of Destruction.
We're likely to cross their path during the story of the new planet Penacony, which is going to be central to the next few updates for the popular game.
Incidentally, we don't know if any of these characters will ever become playable.
HoYoverse's games in geneal and Honkai: Star Rail in particular certainly aren't new to antagonists ending up in the player's hands, and some certainly are popular, like Kafka or Blade, but it's not guaranteed.

- Caterina "The Shacklebound" — Arianna Ratner
- Constance "The Dahlia" — Jennifer Losi

It'll be interesting to see which role they will play in the story going forward, and whether any of them will actually switch sides.
