Redfall, eat your heart out. Epic has released the first trailer for Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4, and it's got its very own vampire, plus lots of heist shenanigans and more.
As the trailer opens, we first see the vampiric Kado Thorne placing a golden skull artifact on a pedestal in his condo.
The action then cuts to a group of wacky Fortnite heroes who appear to be planning a break-in. One of the heroes rings the doorbell, posing as a bored pizza girl and allowing another to drop behind the nonplussed guards and take them out.
What follows is a pretty textbook heist, with each hero getting to show off their skills as they infiltrate Thorne's compound and enter his treasure room in characteristically...er, violent fashion.
They're about to reap the fruits of their labor when the alarm goes off, the shutters come down, and Thorne emerges from the shadows. Eep.
As the trailer finishes, we get to see artwork of Fortnite: Last Resort, as it's called, and that artwork also includes Star Wars' Ahsoka Tano, although she doesn't appear in the trailer.
This won't be Fortnite's first Star Wars crossover, but it's nice to see the fan favorite character making her appearance in Epic's battle royale game.
This season could well bring more crossovers with it besides just Ahsoka, too; Fortnite is well-known for its team-ups with other franchises like Futurama, The Witcher, and Spider-Man, plus lots more.
According to the trailer's description, Kado Thorne has "made the Island his home", with three new vampiric locations - Sanguine Suite, Relentless Retreat, and Eclipsed Estate - appearing on the map as a result.
You'll be able to break into Thorne's properties and thwart his "ultimate plan" while also taking back the Island's property.
We'll likely get more info about what's to come in Chapter 4 Season 4 when the actual update drops, but for now, you can check out Fortnite for free on PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
