Ciri and Yennefer in the new Fortnite Witcher crossover

Epic has announced a new Fortnite Witcher crossover, in which you'll get to play as two of the dark fantasy series' most iconic characters. The young warrior Ciri and the sorceress Yennefer of Vengerberg have both joined Epic's battle royale game, bringing a host of new gear and other stuff with them.

Fortnite is well-known for its pop culture crossovers; it's joined forces with the likes of Spider-ManStar Wars, and, well, The Witcher in the past, plus many other cultural phenomena (not to mention real-life musicians and celebrities). Today's update brings another Witcher crossover, this time introducing outfits that will transform you into Ciri and Yennefer.

The crossover doesn't stop there, though. Two new islands have also been added to correspond to Ciri and Yennefer. Ciri's Escape will have you fleeing from White Frost and hopping between worlds, while Yennefer's Battleground sees you protecting your team's base from encroaching foes. Each island yields an emoticon on completion, and there's a banner up for grabs if you finish them both.

The new emotes and banner you can earn if you complete both islands in the new Fortnite Witcher crossover
There are a couple of snazzy emotes up for grabs if you complete the new Fortnite Witcher islands.

Grabbing the Ciri outfit in the shop also gets you a Zireael Back Bling, which you can unsheath and turn into a Zireael-themed Pickaxe. The Basilisk Glider will also let you cut an imposing figure as you soar through the skies. Yennefer's outfit, meanwhile, comes with a Bird Skull Back Bling, as well as a Megascope Pickaxe and a Black Wings emote.

The Silver and Sorcery Set, as it's called, will be live in Fortnite until July 4th. You've got until then to complete both islands to earn the aforementioned rewards, so make sure to set aside some time to take them on if you want the emoticons and the banner. Fortnite is available to play for free right now on, uh, just about everything: PC, consoles, and mobile devices. Stay tuned for more.
