404 Game ReSet Street Fighter

If you're familiar with Yoko Taro's 404 Game Re:Set, you know that it's (almost) all about turning classic games and their characters into cute waifus and fighting alongside them.

This extends to games' beyond the scope of publisher Sega's lineup via various collaborations and one with Street Fighter II has just been announced.

The collaboration, which will start on July 31, will get its own story and the usual two waifus versions of the game, the Anode version is obviously inspired by Ryu, while the Cathode version draws inspiration from M. Bison (or Vega, if you prefer his original name). Both are voiced by Maaya Uchida, whom you may know for her roles as Veronica in Dragon Quest XI, Iceheart in Final Fantasy XIV, Rikka Takanashi in Love, Chunibyo & Other Delusions, and many more.

Below you can take a look at trailers for both versions of Street Fighter II, alongside one for the story.

If you're unfamiliar with 404 Game Re:Set, also known as Error Game Reset, it's a mobile JRPG by Sega under the creative direction of Yoko Taro, which was announced after a mysterious tease portraying a dystopian version of the world. It's currently available only in Japan.

This is not the first collaboration with other publishers. As plenty have already been revealed. Of course, Sega's games take the lion's share of the cast

404 Game Re:Set is available for iOS and Android and free-to-play. Of course, it has the inevitable gacha. A Western release for this game has not been announced just yet.
