Today Sega announced a new collaboration coming to Yoko Taro's mobile game 404 Game Re:Set, and this time, it's all about classic racing.
The event will start with tomorrow's maintenance (on July 29), which will add a new storyline featuring two beloved racing series, Sega's Daytona USA and Bandai Namco's Ridge Racer.
As usual, both series will be personified into waifu forms, as you may expect from Yoko Taro.
Below you can check out what they look like in a trailer for the event and another focusing on introducing the Anode form of Ridge Racer.
If you're unfamiliar with 404 Game Re:Set, also known as Error Game Reset, it's a mobile JRPG born of a partnership between Sega and Yoko Taro which was announced after a mysterious tease portraying a dystopian version of the world. It's currently available only in Japan.
As you can see with today's news, it features several collaborations with other popular Japanese developers and publishers, celebrating classic video games.
It's for iOS and Android and free-to-play, which means that it also comes with the inevitable gacha. At the moment, a Western release for this game has not been announced. We'll have to wait and see if Sega decides to bring it over down the line.
