Today Sega has started teasing a brand new reveal with a new trailer ahead of the announcement of a new game.

Before you get too excited, the game will be for iOS and Android, and it'll be revealed at 8:00 pm Japan time on February 10. That translates to 3:00 am PST, 6:00 am EST, 11:00 am GMT, or Noon CET, depending on where you live.

The teaser trailer is rather mysterious, as you can see below. We get to see SEGA logos appearing in several locations worldwide and messages like "Let's create a bright future" changing into "Kill Sega" and even "We need Sega" in English.

At the end of the video, we see a message from Sega itself on a damage smartphone that says "We have a message for the people" using the word  "Kokumin" for "the people" which is often used by politicians to refer to citizens. I don't know about you, but this feels highly dystopic to me, especially combined with the futuristic imagery and the surveillance cameras.

The reveal will be made through a scheduled livestream that can be found here

At the moment, we don't know anything about the game that will be announced besides the fact that it'll be for mobile platforms. Quite obviously, Sega hasn't learned the lesson from the ill-fated Sakura Revolution Hanasaku Otome Tachi.

We'll have to wait and see what the announcement is all about on Friday. Of course, you can expect a report here on TechRaptor as soon as the new game is made public. As usual with this kind of reveal, it's a good idea to keep expectations firmly in check.

Update: apparently, the game has leaked before the announcement, via Twitter user 黑鯵. As you can see below, the title is 404 Game Re:Set, subitled Error Game Reset. It's a collaboration between Sega and NieR and Drakengard creator Yoko Taro.

The image also says that pre-registration is available, meaning that it'll likely open on February 10 when the game releases. The lettering in Japanese above the title means "The game that makes everything crazy." Yes. That's Yoko Taro all right.
