Today, during the Pokemon Presents livestream, the Pokemon Company revealed that Pokemon Sleep is finally coming this year.
More specifically, it's coming in the summer of 2023 for iOS and Android. The game, developed by Select Button, was announced all the way back in 2019.
The game is going to record and analyze your sleep patterns and categorize them into three sleep types, "dozing," "snoozing," and "slumbering." Pokemon that tend to sleep in the same way you did will be visualized around sleepyhead supreme Snorlax. On top of that, you may find some rare forms of sleep associated with a variety of Pokemon like "goofy sleep" or "droopy-eared sleep." Gotta catch them all.
It comes with an alarm feature and the ability to broadcast relaxing sounds to help you sleep better (I suppose).
A related device has been announced as well, the Pokemon Go Plus+. It can be used with both Pokemon Sleep and the popular Pokemon Go. In the first case, you simply press the button when you go to sleep and press it again when you wake up. That'll start and stop the measuring of your sleep.
It includes a feature that has Pikachu sing lullabies and you can unlock new alarm sounds.
With Pokemon Go, it can spin Poke Stops and throw regular poke balls at the Pokemon you pass by. You can also choose to throw Great Balls and Ultra Balls at the press of a button. New functionality that will use your sleep data in Pokemon Go is planned.
