Niantic and The Pokemon Company have revealed that Paldean Pokemon are finally on their way to Pokemon Go.

The news was revealed during today's Pokemon Presents showcase, where we also got to learn more about the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC and the new Detective Pikachu game, among other things.

During the presentation, a short clip featuring different pairs of shoes representing Pokemon generations through the years was shown, culminating in a pair of black shoes with scarlet and violet labels.

We also see the silhouettes of Paldea starters Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly through a frosted glass window as a voiceover tells us that "beginning in September", Paldean Pokemon will come to Pokemon Go.

The Pokemon Go section of the Presents showcase begins at around 10:26, and you can view it here.

Along with the arrival of Paldean Pokemon in Pokemon Go, we also learned more about Niantic's plans for this year's Pokemon Go Fest event.

Two of these events have already been held in London and Osaka over this past weekend, and this coming weekend will see another Pokemon Go Fest taking place in New York.

In addition, a global Pokemon Go Fest 2023 event will take place on August 26th and 27th, introducing the legendary Pokemon Diancie and its Mega Evolution into the game for the first time.

You'll also get the chance to face off against Mega Rayquaza in raids on Sunday, August 27th, so make sure you're at your Pokemon Go station when that occurs.

This news comes not long after the recent Zygarde event, which allowed players to obtain Zygarde in its 10% Form for the first time in the mobile creature-catching RPG.

Pokemon Go is available to play for free right now on Android and iOS devices. Keep an eye on TechRaptor for more news on all things Pokemon Go, and, indeed, all things Pokemon.
