Following yesterday night's RGG Summit, Sega has released a gallery of artwork portraying the main characters of the upcoming Yakuza game Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name.
In the gallery below, you can see each character followed by their actor, Kazuma Kiryu and his actor Takaya Kuroda, Kosei Shishido and Yasukaze Motomiya, Yuki Tsuruno and Yoshiyaki Yamaguchi, Akame and First Summer Eka, Homare Nishitani III and Kim Jaeuck, and Kihai Hanawa and Hiroki Tochi.
We also get two images showcasing the settings for the new game, Sotenbori in Osaka and Isezaki Ijincho in Yokohama, fictionalized versions of the real districts of Dotonbori and Isezakicho in the respective cities.
The press release also includes the confirmation that the RGG Summit Fall 2023 event will be hosted in September, providing more information about the franchise.
Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name is coming on November 9 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC. The game will explain what happened to traditional hero Kazuma Kiryu between Yakuza 6: The Song of Life and Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. It'll be followed in early 2024 by Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, the eighth mainline game of the franchise, coming for the same platforms. It'll bring together Kazuma Kiryu and new hero Ichiban Kasuga, and you can check out a trailer from the latest Xbox Games Showcase. Recently, we learned that YouTuber and Vtuber Kson will play a relevant role in the game.
