Square Enix has revealed new Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai information, principally revolving around two features: the Temple of Recollection and the Challenge Mode.
In the Temple of Recollection, Dai and his plucky friends can explore a special dungeon in which monsters and traps abound.
Said monsters and traps will change with each playthrough, and the difficulty will escalate as you move between rooms, making this a great place to go if you want a serious challenge.
You'll unlock the Temple of Recollection as you play through Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai's story, which covers the first half of the manga's narrative.
Each time you enter, the difficulty will reset to level 1, and you can only bring the characters and Bond Memories you've got from the story mode with you.
You can use the Temple of Recollection to build your party's strength if you feel you need to, as you can visit it between Story Mode sessions.
As well as monsters, rooms contain traps, which can also be triggered during monster battles, so watch your step.
You won't just be battling regular monsters in the Temple of Recollection, either; powerful versions of Story Mode enemies may also appear throughout the temple.
As well as the Temple of Recollection, Square Enix has also released new info about Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai's Challenge Mode.
You'll unlock this mode after completing Story Mode, and it'll let you fight stronger opponents, as well as remixed versions of Story Mode battles. It's a great way to revisit your adventure with tougher and more challenging combat.
Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai launches for PC, PlayStation consoles, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on September 28th.
TechRaptor's own Austin Suther got a chance to preview the game, and it sounds like you're in for a good time whether or not you're familiar with the source.
