Indie dev and "tiny tiny game studio" Mister Morris Games has announced that Rusty's Retirement, a game that can be played while you complete other tasks on your desktop, has hit a big sales milestone.

Per a post on X (formerly Twitter) earlier today, Rusty's Retirement has hit 100,000 sales within its first five days on release, which is a pretty impressive achievement for such a low-key game.

Mister Morris Games, which is essentially a one-man studio run by developer Jordan Morris, expressed its gratitude to the game's buyers for helping it to reach this milestone, simply saying "ily all!" in the post.

Rusty's Retirement appears to have found its niche.

If you're playing Rusty's Retirement and wondering if the game will change in any way in future, then rest assured that Mister Morris Games is planning to implement post-launch updates.

In a response to a player asking about post-1.0 updates, Morris says he'll "definitely be adding more QoL features" to Rusty's Retirement, but that the current focus is on boosting performance and fixing save file issues.

None other than the official Among Us X account also congratulated Morris on his achievement, simply saying that the sales figure was "deserved". Morris appears to have been pretty moved by Innersloth's appreciation.

Even the Among Us folks love Rusty's Retirement.

If you're not familiar with Rusty's Retirement, it's a cozy farming sim that can be played at the bottom of your desktop, leaving you free to work on other tasks.

The game, which was released last week, allows you to grow crops, produce biofuel, and sell said fuel to expand your farm, all while building an automation network that will let you create your very own farming empire while barely lifting a finger.

If you want to check the game out, you can do so right now on PC via Steam, where it'll set you back $6.29 (currently at a 10% discount) or your local equivalent.
