Sony has announced that a Horizon Forbidden West PC version is on the way early next year.
Horizon Forbidden West Complete Edition will include both the base game and the Burning Shores DLC expansion, and that package is also coming to PS5 next month, according to a new PlayStation Blog post.
The package also includes a digital soundtrack and art book, as well as a digital comic book and several in-game items to enhance your robo-dino-hunting experience. It'll retail for $59.99 on PS5.
In the post, Sony also confirms that the Horizon Forbidden West PC port will be handled by Nixxes, the porting studio that the gaming giant acquired back in 2021.
Nixxes' other porting work includes the PC versions of Horizon Zero Dawn, Marvel's Spider-Man, and Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, as well as ports of Crystal Dynamics games like Shadow of the Tomb Raider and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided.
If you missed out on Horizon Forbidden West the first time around, it's the sequel to 2017's post-apocalyptic open-world adventure Horizon Zero Dawn.
Released in 2022, the game once again sees you stepping into the shoes of Aloy, who must travel to the titular Forbidden West in order to find the truth behind a mysterious and deadly plague.
Gameplay-wise, Forbidden West expands on Zero Dawn with new options in both combat and exploration.
The new Valor Surge system gives Aloy more options during combat, while new underwater exploration systems, as well as a glider item and more freeform climbing, allow you more freedom in the way you explore the world.
We don't have a specific PC release date for Horizon Forbidden West yet, but the game is set to arrive on PC via Steam sometime early next year.
