Today HoYoverse shared a new character who will appear down the line in its popular RPG Honkai: Star Rail, alongside a milestone for the upcoming PS5 port.
The new character is Huohuo, a 5-star Wind-type following the path of Abundance (basically, she's a healer).
She's voiced in English by Courtney Lin and she comes with a heliobus named Tail sealed in her... tail. He's voiced by Adam Michael Gold. Their Japanese voices are respectively Maria Naganawa and TakeshiHirabayashi.
You can see her in the picture above and read an official description shared on X (formerly Twitter).
"Extraterrestrial Satellite Communication" Huohuo "I can use this banner to dispel demons... but it also comes in handy when signaling my surrender..."
A pitiable and helpless Foxian girl who is also a Ten-Lords Commission Judge-in-training, who fears ghosts but must catch them. Due to having a heliobus named Tail sealed in her tail by the judges of the Ten-Lords Commission, she became a "cursed one" who attracts inhuman beings.
She fears demons and heliobi, but contrarily is tasked with their capture and entrusted with the heavy task of eradicating vile spirits. Though she believes herself lacking in ability, she is unable to muster the courage to resign and continues onward despite walking in a valley of her own fear.
On top of the new character, we learn that the PS5 version of the game has passed 1 million pre-registrations. Looks like a whole lot of people are waiting to play the game on Sony's console.
The PS5 version will release PS5 version is coming on October 11, 2023, as announced during the latest PlayStation State of Play broadcast.
It's worth mentioning that HuoHuo likely won't come in the next update numbered 1.4 and titled "Jolted Awake From a Winter Dream," which will likely see the debut of Jingliu, Topaz, and Guinaifen.
It's very likely that HuoHuo is the first character revealed for the 1.5 cycle. Incidentally, version 1.4 will be fully revealed on September 29.
