Today HoYoverse released the newest major update for Honkai: Star Rail, including a brand new gacha focusing on Dan Heng: Imbibitor Lunae.
The new version, numbered 1.3 and titled "Celestial Eyes Above Mortal Ruins," focuses on Imbibitor Lunae. He's basically the ancestral, ultra-powerful form of the popular and taciturn Dan Heng, who has been with us since the very beginning of the story.
He's an Imaginary-element character following the path of Destruction, who can basically power himself up like Blade, albeit his specific mechanics are a little different. He's definitely energy-hungry, but he seems to be able to deal pretty much insane damage.
He's available today via the event warp "Epochal Spectrum," which will also include Yukong, Asta, and March 7th. If you're unfamiliar with Event Warps, they're basically Honkai: Star Rail's version of gacha.
You can find a full deep dive into his gameplay below, and see if his gacha is worth your hard-earned Stellar Jades.
If you'd like to see more about Dan Heng: Imbibitor Lunae, you can take a look at a beautiful animated short released yesterday, on top of another trailer focusing on the ancient lore behind his existence.
Honkai: Star Rail is available now for PC with HoYoverse's standalone client and on the Epic Games Store, as well as on iOS and Android devices.
We know that a PS5 version is coming down the line, but for now we only have a generic Q4 2023 release window for that one.
