Gran Turismo 7 offers all sorts of cars, but the vehicle coming with the next update is indeed rather special.
Today Polyphony Digital revealed the "Viewers' Gift" campaign for the World Series Showdown 2023, which will be hosted on August 11 and August 12.
By clicking on a banner on the world map and watching the livestreams you can get yourself a 6-Star Roulette Ticket (Engine) if you watch the Manufacturers Cup and a Toyota Ambulance Himedic '21 if you watch the Nations Cup. You can see what it looks like below.
This is just an early access to the vehicle, which isn't exclusive to this promotion. It'll be made available for everyone with a future update. Rewards will be delivered by Monday, August 14.
The ambulance will be implemented in the popular racing game with the next update, teased by Kazunori Yamauchi himself on Twitter. The update will come on August 7 and it'll also feature the Maserati MC20, the GR Corolla Morizo Edition, and the 1958 Corvette C1 (identified by Twitter user Fighterman_FFRC).
Of course, the Ambulance won't be unlocked until August 14 for those who enter the promotion, and likely the next update for everyone else.
Gran Turismo 7 is currently available for PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4. Polyphony Digital has been quite consistent with keeping it updated after its release in early 2022 by launching an update with new cars nearly every month. A big update released in February added PlayStation VR2 support and more.
If you're interested in the franchise in general, a movie is coming simply titled Gran Turismo and focusing on the story of one of the winners of the GT Academy competition, starring Archie Madekwe, Orlando Bloom, David Harbour, Darren Barnet, Geri Halliwell Horner, and Djimon Hounsou. Funnily, while the story that inspired the movie happened several years ago, You'll see Gran Turismo 7 featured in it.
