Today Polyphony Digital and Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed the next update coming to the racing game Gran Turismo 7.
The update is coming tomorrow, January 25, and it's numbered 1.42.
As usual, the centerpiece of the new addition is represented by new cars, three of them to be specific. We have actually already seen two of them during recent events.
We're getting the BVLGARI Aluminium Vision Gran Turismo, the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept, and the Suzuki Jimny XC '18. That's two vision GT cars in a single update, which I believe is either a first or very rare.
Also, if you're wondering, the brand of the first car is pronounced "Bulgari." "Bvlgari" is simply a snobbish stylization that even Italians like me find silly and overdone.
You can check all three cars out in action below and see if they tempt you to get behind the wheel for a few races.
While the new cars take the lion's share of the update's content, it also comes with additional perks, as explained in the official announcement. Two extra menus will be added to the cafe, the Collection: Nissan Motorsports for Collector Level 46 and above, and the Collection: Dodge for Collector Level 32 and above.
We're also getting two new World Circuits events as follows:
- Jimny Cup
- Sardegna - Windmills/Willow Springs International Raceway/Lake Louise
- Vision Gran Turismo Trophy
- Tokyo Expressway/Autodromo Nazionale Monza
These are certainly fitting to enjoy all three new cars coming with tomorrow's update-
Lastly, the Scapes feature is getting two featured curations, "Service Area" and "Rotate the camera vertically"
Gran Turismo 7 is currently available for PS5 and PS4 with PlayStation VR2 support. The game is still being updated regularly despite being almost two years old, and recently Sony and Polyphony Digital released the large Spec II update.
