The next Going Medieval update will add more settler customization options. You'll be able to change all of your settlers' stats individually, as well as choosing various other parameters for them, according to developer Foxy Voxel.

What new settler options are coming in the next Going Medieval update?

Foxy Voxel announced this news via its regular "Medieval Monday" developer diary series for the rather popular Going Medieval. The developer says that many players have been asking for more advanced customization for their settlers, so you'll soon be able to fine-tune their skills and appearance to make exactly what you want. Do you want all of your settlers to be old ladies with a penchant for melee combat? You can do that. Feel like recruiting an army of clone diplomats? That'll be within your grasp as well. Here's a look at the brand new Going Medieval advanced settler customization screen.

As you can see, you've got access to far more parameters and options than you had before. As well as being able to fine-tune stats, you can also alter religious alignment, age, weight, and height. You can change the way your settler looks, their name, and their background, plus which perks you want them to take into your settlement. There's also a new "reroll group" button so you can randomize all of your settlers at once. These new options are designed to give you more control over your settlers, so you should feel a little more attached to them once the feature is added.

When is the next Going Medieval update release date?

These new changes should be added in the next major Going Medieval update. Foxy Voxel hasn't disclosed a release date for that update yet, so you'll have to wait and see when it arrives. It'll follow in the wake of an update last month which added new shelving and rack storage options. Last week's Medieval Monday talk revealed changes that are coming to the Going Medieval trading system, and Foxy Voxel has also discussed new features involving diplomacy for the next update. It's looking like a big one, so stay tuned for more info about the next Going Medieval update, including when it's getting released.

Going Medieval's new update will also introduce traders into the mix.

You can grab Going Medieval right now on PC via Steam Early Access. It'll set you back $24.99, but as with every Early Access game, picking it up now grants you access to all future updates and the final version of the game when it eventually launches.
