Developer Shift Up announced the celebrations for the first anniversary of the popular mobile game Goddess of Victory: Nikke, which will happen on November 4.
The anniversary event will actually start a bit earlier, on November 2, and it comes with plenty of goodies for players to enjoy.
Of course, since it's a free-to-play game, the introduction of new characters is inevitable. More precisely, Red Hood and Snow White in her "Innocent Days" version. They will also be at the center of the new event story "Red Ash" centered on the past time when they were members of squad Goddess.
We're also getting a new mini game mode titled "Memory of Goddess," new chapters in the story mode (25 and 26), a new tyrant-class boss named Ultra, and two costumes for Dorothy (Nostalgia) and Harran (Banquet Witch).
You can see the new Nikke, the new costumes, and a hint to the event's story in the celebratory livestream aired earlier today.
Yet, that's not all, as players will also be able to enjoy the return of the "Miracle Snow" event from last Christmas but with animation and voice acting added.
While Snow White: Innocent Days will be free and can be unlocked simply by playing, Red Hood will require some gacha luck, and players will be aided by up to 127 free requirement opportunities.
We also hear that Simulation Room 2.0 is coming down the line, with new gameplay and rewards.
Goddess of Victory: Nikke is a super-popular free-to-play gacha game for PC, iOS, and Android that achieved 25 million downloads as of February (it's likely much higher now). Its developer, Shift-Up, is owned by talented artist Hyung-tae Kim, known for the character design of games like Magna Carta and Blade & Souls.
The studio is also working on an action game for PS5 titled Stellar Blade, which you may also as its previous working title Project EVE.
Goddess of Victory: Nikke recently got a couple of high-profile crossovers, with Chainsaw Man and NieR: Automata.
