Bytten Studio and Raw Fury have announced the Cassette Beasts multiplayer release date, as well as a host of other information about what's coming next for the indie creature-collecting RPG.
The multiplayer update, which will allow you to team up with other players to explore Cassette Beasts' world and take on raid bosses, is launching on May 20th across all platforms.
Of course, you'll also be able to do battle with your friends if you prefer a more player-versus-player approach, so it's not all sunshine and co-operation. Crossplay is supported, too, so if you want to battle your friends on Xbox, Switch, or PC, you'll be able to do so.
It's not just the multiplayer release date, though. Bytten and Raw Fury have also announced that Cassette Beasts will come to Android and iOS devices sometime this year. The two studios say they'll reveal more in the next month, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Cassette Beasts is also getting a crossover with fellow creature-collecting RPG Moonstone Island, which will bring an outfit themed around that game, as well as a chance to meet the adorable Pombomb in Moonstone Island.

If you're unfamiliar with Cassette Beasts, it's one of the indie creature-collecting RPGs that's sprung up in the wake of Pokemon, with others including the aforementioned Moonstone Island, as well as adjacent projects like Palworld.
Cassette Beasts tasks you with exploring the island of New Wirral, collecting creatures and building team synergies to take on the island's many challenges. There are also Metroidvania elements to the game's world, with new traversal abilities being unlocked as you play.
