EA and DICE have revealed the Battlefield 2042 roadmap for this spring, and it's slim pickings, as expected.
Yesterday, EA announced that Battlefield 2042's latest season would also be its last, as production ramps up on the shared Battlefield universe being created by several of EA's internal studios.
As such, the spring roadmap was never going to be chock-full of content, and just as expected, there isn't much to pore over if you're waiting for substantial Battlefield 2042 updates.

First, on April 16th, the limited-time Crimson Front event is making its debut in Battlefield 2042. Following that, the new Stadium map will be added to the game on April 30th.
As part of Battlefield 2042 Update 7.2 in mid-May, you're getting the XFAD-4 Draugr combat drone and the DFR Strife weapon, and finally, the Future Strike limited-time event rounds off spring sometime between May and June.
Given that a new Battlefield 2042 season isn't on the horizon, I suppose it could be worse; at least you've still got a few things to look forward to if you're still a devotee.
Unfortunately, though, it looks like you'll have to wait for the mysterious next Battlefield installment if you want something more substantial to get stuck into.

EA released Battlefield 2042 back in November 2021. Its launch was, to put it bluntly, chaos, with players complaining about missing features, relentless bugs, and technical issues.
All of this added up to a petition on Change.org demanding that refunds be allowed across all platforms for Battlefield 2042. Said petition attracted tens of thousands of signatures, but as is the case with many Change.org petitions, it didn't pick up much steam beyond that initial surge.
Battlefield 2042 is available right now for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox if you want to join in the fun just in time for the curtains to close. Stay tuned for more on the future of Battlefield.
