Battlefield 2042 stuttering and rubberbanding fix will be arriving on PC and consoles tomorrow, hopefully reducing two serious issues that have plagued players of EA Dice's newest first-person shooter.

The launch of Battlefield 2042 has been a bit rough; players were plagued by numerous bugs and disappointed by the lack of a detailed scoreboard. However, EA Dice has been busting its butt to fix the many problems with the game in the Early Access lead-up to launch; now, another update has been announced for tomorrow that aims to give players a Battlefield 2042 stuttering and rubberbanding fix.

What's Coming in the Battlefield 2042 Stuttering and Rubberbanding Fix Update?

The key points of the Battlefield 2042 stuttering and rubberbanding fix update are detailed in a set of patch notes released by EA earlier today as announced on Twitter, although it's uncertain if this will fix the problem for good.

Here are the key highlights concerning the rubberbanding and stuttering issues:

  • Implemented Server Side upgrades that are targeted at reducing instances of Rubber Banding, often experienced in the later part of a round in All-Out Warfare modes.
  • Significantly reduced instances of stuttering when playing on Breakaway. If the [Silos] are destroyed, it should no longer reduce performance on the server.
    • A note that we are continuing to investigate similar occurrences that have been reported to us on other maps.

That's not all that's coming in this update, though. EA Dice managed to squeeze in some animation fixes, a fix for broken unlockables, and resolutions for several issues with its new Hazard Zone game mode. Additionally, two more major updates are planned for the first 30 days after launch.

You can read about all of the changes in the full patch notes; this update is scheduled to launch on Thursday, November 18, 2021, at 3:00 AM Eastern Time. Jump into the (occasionally buggy) fun yourself by buying Battlefield 2042 for PC and consoles via its official website starting at $59.99 or your regional equivalent.
