This guide will detail all of the Stranded: Alien Dawn Events we've encountered thus far and what you can expect to deal with when they happen to you.

How Stranded: Alien Dawn Events Work

Stranded: Alien Dawn Events are temporary situations that have some kind of effect on the world -- and they aren't always good.

Events can include illnesses, animal attacks, a simple heatwave, or a planetary disaster. You should always put your mouse over the Event tooltip when it pops up on the right side of the screen -- you may find that you'll need to get your Survivors to safety right away!

Stranded: Alien Dawn Events List

Aggressive Animals

Hostile animals are near your base and preparing to attack.

Animal Attack

Hostile animals are attacking your base.

Became Lovers

Two Survivors have become Lovers. They will gain a Happiness boost from sleeping in adjacent beds and they'll suffer an equivalent Happiness penalty by not sleeping next to one another.

Common Cold

A Survivor is mildly ill. This disease will likely spread to other Survivors.

Extreme Cold Snap

Outside Temperatures are 20 C lower than normal. Crops grow more slowly and can start losing health if the temperature drops below their tolerance.

Extreme Heat Wave

Outside Temperatures are 20 C higher than normal. Crops grow more slowly and can start losing health if the temperature raises above their tolerance.

Heatwave

Outside temperatures are 8 C higher than normal. Crops grow more slowly and can start losing health if the temperature raises above their tolerance.

Hungry Pests

Dozens of small bugs are sweeping the area, eating everything in sight.

Meteor Rain

Metal-containing meteors are falling from the sky. They can damage anything they hit.

New Year's Eve

Your Survivors celebrate the New Year with Fireworks and gain a Happiness boost.

Rain

Survivors suffer the "Soaking Wet" Trouble, but Plants gain +20% Growth.

Solar Eclipse

Solar panels do not function.

Solar Flares

Devices with built-in CPU Cores do not function. Solar Panels produce more Power.

Thunderstorm

Lightning strikes can damage structures, devices, and Survivors. Survivors suffer the "Soaking Wet" Trouble, but Plants gain +20% Growth.

Toxic Ash

Survivors suffer from shortness of breath when outside. Prolonged exposure can cause blood poisoning. Solar Panels provide less power. Plants grow slower. Farm Crops lose health and harvest.
