Monopoly fans, a new version of the game has been announced. The popular board game, once a critique of capitalism, has crossed over with multiple licensed properties. Roblox, Fall Guys, Animal Crossing, the list goes on. Now, there is Monopoly: The Witcher.

The Monopoly: The Witcher Announcement

According to an official press release from The Op, Monopoly: The Witcher will bring the monster-slaying action of the dark fantasy series to the Monopoly experience.

Players will buy, sell, and trade monsters from the series including Bruxa, Crone, Leshen and more. The custom game board will feature major characters like Geralt, Yennefer, and others as seen in the video game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

Of course, this is still Monopoly, which means you will still be buying property. As you travel across the Continent, you will trade in custom Vivaldi Dwarven Bank currency, using that wealth to establish Houses and Manors across the land.

In keeping with The Witcher franchise, the decks of cards have gotten a facelift as well. Community Chest cards are now Bounty cards, no doubt referring to monsters, and Chance cards are now Law of Surprise cards.

In the end, the goal is still the same: the last one standing with the most currency wins.

Roach on the roof is such an inside joke. I love it.

Furthermore, Monopoly: The Witcher will feature six collectible custom tokens. Those tokens include Kaer Mohren, Roach on the Roof, a Flaming Book, a Crystal Skull, and a Lute.

The Witcher is a dark fantasy novel series written by Polish author Andrzej Sapkowski  That series has since been adapted into several high profile videogames by CD Projekt Red as well as a big budget streaming series on Netflix.

"The Witcher is one of the most iconic franchises that has made its way across so many mediums to meet its fans where they are — from its start in the book pages to its success in the video game world and now a hit Netflix series," said Dane Chapin, CEO of The Op. "We're excited to be able to give fans a whole new way to experience The Witcher with a custom spin on one of America's favorite tabletop games."

Monopoly: The Witcher is available right now on The Op's store page. It is currently being sold at an MSRP of $44.99.
