Today Clouded Leopard Entertainment released the first trailer of Nihon Falcom's JRPG Ys X: Nordics with English subtitles.
Unfortunately, it isn't what some may infer from the release of an English trailer. Veteran fans of Nihon Falcom's games may already know what I mean. While Clouded Leopard Entertainment localizes the beloved developer's games for the Asian market day and date with the Japanese release, it does only in Traditional Chinese and Korean, even if its promotion is in English as well.
This means that while we get the English trailer as a cruel tease of what might be, we still don't have the slightest idea of when the game will launch in English. The series is usually localized by NIS American for the west, and they haven't made any announcement just yet.
You can check out the trailer below, and dream of the future.
Ys X: Nordics will release in Japan and Asia on September 28, 2023, for PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch. As mentioned above, an announcement for a western release has not been made just yet.
If you want to see more of the upcoming game you can take a look at a gallery of screenshots, another batch, a slightly older gallery with more details, and more gameplay.
