Dancing Eevee to celebrate the latest pokemon Jet

Today The Pokemon Company released a cute video to celebrate the launch of the latest Pokemon Jet airliner, dedicated to Eevee

The video shows the presentation ceremony of the aircraft, including a bunch of super-cute Eevee mascots dancing in front of the aircraft in one of ANA's hangars at Tokyo Haneda Airport.

This is not random, as the special livery of the Boeing 777-300ER operated by ANA named "Eevee Jet NH" is almost entirely dedicated to Eevee and its evolutions, Vaporeon, Flareon, Graceon, Jolteon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Sylveon, and Espeon.

The aircraft started passenger service at the beginning of the month between Tokyo, London, and New York.

This is not the first time we have seen this kind of show. For instance, we saw a similar one for the launch of the previous Pokemon Jet, also operated by ANA. Of course, the big difference is that that one had dancing Pikachus.

The trend of Pokemon Jets has recently made a comeback after a few years of hiatus following the pandemic, mostly via the Pokemon Air Adventures initiative, as airlines strive to promote the return of tourism in Japan and Asia.

Eevee Jet NH and Pikachu Jet NH are quite special as ANA is the airline that started this kind of cross-promotion in 1998 with a Boeing 747 and two Boeing 767s.

The most popular of the Pikachu Jets was also flown by ANA and was the the beloved "Pikachu Jumbo" JA8957 launched in 2004. It was the most striking due to being absolutely massive and painted in bright yellow. Unfortunately, it was retired in 2013 among emotional farewells from its many fans.

Currently, there are six Pokemon Jets in operation in Japan, two among the other four are operated by Skymark focusing on Flying Pikachu, one by Air Do focusing on Vulpix, and the "Nassy Jet" dedicated to Eggxecutor operated by Solaseed Air.

Interestingly, this kind of promotion has extended outside of Japan as of late, with airliners operated by China Airlines in Taiwan, Scoot in Singapore, and T'way in South Korea.

If you're interested in the games belonging to the popular franchise, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is currently available exclusively for Nintendo Switch, and a DLC is coming soon
