A new character, a new weapon, and 2 new Arcanas have arrived in Vampire Survivors Update Patch 0.7.3. Also, the new character is a tree that doesn't move. No, really.
Vampire Survivors is a game that's all about, well, surviving. Hordes of enemies will constantly assault you while you run around the map blasting them to bits with magic and arcane weapons. Previous updates have added a bonus stage and the new Arcana mechanic, and now a new update has arrived with even more goodies.
What's New in Vampire Survivors Update Patch 0.7.3?
As usual, the Vampire Survivors Update Patch 0.7.3 notes are pretty short, but each new addition adds something special to the game. The big-ticket items are the addition of a new character, a new weapon, and two new Arcanas -- and the new character is absolutely wild.
As PCGamesN reports, the new character is a tree called Peppino. Now, you might think that this tree is a treant or something, but no -- it's literally just a tree that sits there. One might think that this poses a bit of a conundrum on account of being unable to run away from enemies, but Peppino is more than capable of fighting thanks to an aura that kills enemies and a passive ability that vacuums up gems that might be out of reach.
Two new Minor Relics are also arriving in this update. One allows you to change your character appearance (when it's possible) and the maximum active weapons per run; you can unlock this by filling 100 slots in the Collection page. The other Minor Relic is found in the Inlaid Library and will show you discovered unions and evolutions during a run.
As always, there are a few other changes and improvements in this update; you can read the full Vampire Survivors Update Patch 0.7.3 notes on Reddit for all the fine details since the Steam news page is a bit broken due to the launch of the Summer Sale. If you haven't yet jumped into the frantic fun of this game, you can buy Vampire Survivors for PC via Steam at the price of $2.99 or your regional equivalent.
