The latest Vampire Survivors update (0.3.1) has arrived, and in it players can expect to see a new bonus stage, a new weapon evolution, a new character, an extra rank for the Skip power-up. There's also some bugfixes and tweaks, so let's get into them, shall we?
What else is in the latest Vampire Survivors update?
This most recent Vampire Survivors update includes changes to the cooldown so it doesn't reset weapon firing timers anymore. Special stage pickups are now also immune to bad/purple Pentagrams, but now Pentagrams also correctly erase other on-screen pickups now as well. There are some tentative fixes to the King Bible/Unholy Vespers not making a full circle, and a tentative fix for UI elements overlapping when picking up a stage item while also leveling up or pausing the game at the same time. Tweaks include reducing the cost of the Skip power-up and making treasure chests visible on the map, which is a nice change that I'm sure will change everyone's strategy when going for the best run.
Back in December, the original Early Access description for Vampire Survivors said that the game was 60% content complete. After phenomenal success and tons of hype, that's been expanded a bit as more has been added to the roadmap. To that effect, there's going to be an announcement that shows off the overall roadmap, game difficulty, power creep, performance optimization, and more in a future Vampire Survivors update.
