Poncle has announced a new Vampire Survivors DLC pack. Tides of the Foscari launches on April 13th, bringing with it eight new "not remotely derivative" characters, 13 new weapons, and a massive new forest stage full to the brim with classic RPG terrain and monsters.
This will be Vampire Survivors' second major DLC pack after last year's Legacy of the Moonspell. This DLC was originally teased as part of Vampire Survivors' 2022 roundup, but now we know exactly what it'll bring. Tides of the Foscari will take you to a "continent-sized forest" in which a magical academy is housed.
Students from the academy's three major houses band together to venture into the forest nearby, to have a "jolly adventure with absolutely nothing interrupting the whimsy". You can check out a rather amusing and short teaser trailer for Tides of the Foscari here.
Only four of the eight new characters have been revealed so far. The first is Eleanor, a plucky young magic user who is as "bright as she is shy". Second is Maruto, a brooding warrior with a heart of gold, and he's joined by quick-witted archer Keitha and ancient witch Luminaire. As you can see, Poncle is aiming for RPG archetype with this new group, although we're yet to see who the other four newbies might be.
New weapons include Eleanor's SpellString textbook, Maruto's massive Eskizzibur sword, Keitha's homemade Flash Arrows, and Luminaire's signature Prismatic Missiles. You're also getting seven new music tracks to listen to while you carve your way through the hordes, as well as the massive new Lake Foscari map itself, which is a huge, dense forest packed with secrets.
