Today Capcom released a new video of the upcoming fighting game Street Fighter 6, focusing entirely on music.
The video showcases the theme music track of returning character Dee Jay, titled aptly titled "All Right!" Dee Jay is certainly an easygoing dude, so the title definitely appears to be appropriate just as much as the tune.
You can check out the track below and see if it's what you'd expect from Dee Jay.
If you're unfamiliar with Dee Jay, he's been around forever, following his debut in Super Street Fighter II in 1993. Here's how he's officially described, with his situation updated to Street Fighter 6.
"First appearing in Super Street Fighter II, Dee Jay is a globally popular dance music superstar with a burning love for music and fighting. As a returning character in the series, Dee Jay retains his trademark moves that will get you in the rhythm such as Air Slasher, Double Rolling Sobat, Machine Gun Upper, and Jackknife Maximum, while adding new moves like Jus Cool and Weekend Pleasure to his arsenal. Visit Bathers Beach, Dee Jay’s stage in Street Fighter 6, to find a beachside party full of life amidst a setting sun."
The video follows several gameplay clips showcasing full matches played by the developers including Marisa versus Manon herself, Dee Jay versus Dhalsim, and Blanka versus JP. We recently also learned that Thea Trinidad, also known as WWE Superstar Zelina Vega, joined the growing roster of commentators for the Real-Time Commentary feature introduced for the game.
Street Fighter 6 is releasing on June 2, 2023. This time around, it's returning to its multiplatform nature, as it'll launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It'll also come to the arcades via Taito, albeit that version won't probably leave Japan.
