Today Capcom released a teaser trailer showcasing Ed, the next DLC character who will soon join the cast of the acclaimed fighting game Street Fighter 6.
Ed debuted all the way back in Street Fighter IV but became playable as DLC only in Street Fighter V. Now he'll be a DLC again in the new game.
He's certainly grown up from the "bandaged boy" rescued from Shadaloo by Balrog, and he has shed the uniform he wore in the fifth game of the series.
Yet his psychic powers and his boxing certainly don't appear to have weakened, as we can see in today's trailer.
While we don't get to see pure gameplay, what we do see is certainly promising. We'll likely see more as his release comes closer. He'll be launched in the game in February as part of the Year 1 Character Pass following the brand-new fighter A.K.I. and the returning veteran Rashid.
We also already know that he'll be followed by Akuma, who will be released in the Spring of 2024.

Street Fighter 6 is available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Capcom has recently revealed that the game has shipped over 3 million units as of January 3.
