Street Fighter 6 Thea Trinidad Zelina Vega

Today Capcom revealed a new commentator for Street Fighter 6's Real Time Commentary feature, and it's Thea Trinidad, also known as WWE Superstar Zelina Vega.

The announcement was made with a trailer showing gameplay and providing a good sample of what the game sounds like with Trinidad as the commentator.

The feature basically does what it says on the tin, implementing the voices of several popular FGC commentators and other personalities in the game pretty much like what we've seen from sports games.

Previously announced commentators include Jeremy “Vicious” Lopez, Ryutaro “Aru” Noda, Kosuke Hiraiwa, Steve “TastySteve” Scott, H.E. Demon Kakka, and James “jchensor” Chen.

You can listen to what Trinidad sounds like in the trailer below.

The accompanying press release included a comment from Trinidad herself, who mentions she's a gamer and a fan of the series. Apparently, she also loves Vega.

“I’ve been an avid gamer since I was a child and a huge fan of Street Fighteer. I can still remember epic matches with my brother, and I would always beat him with my favorite character Vega. It’s surreal to now be a part of this amazing franchise and I am honored and thankful for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.”

The video follows several gameplay clips showcasing full matches played by the developers including Marisa versus ManonDee Jay versus Dhalsim, and Blanka versus JP.

Street Fighter 6 is releasing on June 2, 2023. This time around, it's returning to its multiplatform nature, as it'll launch for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. It'll also come to the arcades via Taito, albeit that version won't probably leave Japan.
