Resident Evil Village, the eighth main entry in the classic survival horror series, is over a month old now, and the modding scene has provided plenty of good mods. Today, we show off some of our favorite mods, whether they be graphical adjustments or quality of life mods.

Even before the game officially released, we got to see mods that gave Lady Dimitrescu the head of Thomas the Tank Engine or forcing Chris to battle through armies of Barney the Dinosaur. But shortly after the game's release, modder "Jtegh" made the Mini Me Chris mod, which the creator describes as "a dumb joke that popped into my head."

The baby, with Chris' head, from Resident Evil Village.

This mod led to them getting a ton of requests to do the reverse of that mod, and that's why we have an abomination that looks like Chris with the baby's head, which you can see at the top of the page. On the less terrifying side, a modder named "FluffyQuack" has released a working version of a mod that brings Resident Evil Village back to its third-person roots. It was shown off a while ago when it made Chris lose his head, but the mod is now stable enough that the author is ready to release it.

As for everyone's favorite antagonist, she's also got a few mods. In addition to the previously-mentioned Thomas the Tank Engine mod, there's also the Lady X mod, which changes her skin color to make her look more in line with Resident Evil 2 baddie Mr. X.

Lady D, looking more like Mr. X, from Resident Evil Village.

If you're a fan of her big hat, one modder is working on a mod that causes her hat to become larger and wider as the game progresses, resulting in it looking like she's wearing an entire flying saucer on her head. Of course, it'd be hard to use and manage many of these mods without a mod like Fluffy Manager, which helps players install mods into Resident Evil Village, along with letting players change FOV and remove the vignette. Theres still plenty of mods out there, and more in the making, if you want to check out some of these for yourself then be sure to check out the Nexus page for Resident Evil Village.
