Pokemon Home is finally becoming compatible with Pokemon Scarlet and Violet next week. The long-awaited connectivity between the two games will be added as part of Pokemon Home version 3.0.0 and will, at last, allow you to transfer your Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet to Pokemon Home.

While Scarlet and Violet have received bug-fixing updates and new DLC teasers in the last few months, Pokemon Home connectivity has been at the top of many fans' wishlists. Now, according to an official Pokemon press release, it's finally on the way. At the moment, a specific date still has to be announced.

Update: the press release, and as a consequence this article, originally mentioned a release date for the update on May 23. The announcement was changed to say that the date is yet to be announced and the article has been updated to reflect that.

When the update lands, you'll be able to transfer Pokemon from Scarlet and Violet to Home, and you'll also be able to bring "select Pokemon" from other games into Paldea. The Tera Type of any Pokemon you bring to Scarlet and Violet from elsewhere will be determined according to original type.

This menu might not look like much, but it'll bring joy to many Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players.

If you bring any Pokemon across from Scarlet and Violet to Home, you'll get a special bonus, too. You'll be able to get Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, all of whom have Hidden Abilities, as Mystery Gifts within Pokemon Home's mobile app. All three are available, but you can only claim them once per account.

Pokemon Home version 3.0.0 is bringing other features besides just Scarlet and Violet compatibility, too. You can now convert Pokemon Home points into League Points for Scarlet and Violet, and you can also now view info from other games Pokemon have been in when looking at their summary page. It will also be possible to change a Pokemon's moves within Pokemon Home, so your Pokemon will know exactly the moves you want it to before you send it on its way.

You can see a list of the changes coming to Pokemon Home as part of Version 3.0.0 right here
