Today Ubisoft released an extensive video about its upcoming open-world action-adventure game Assassin's Creed Mirage showcasing the ancient city of Baghdad
The trailer focuses on the reconstruction of the city, made challenging by the lack of real-world remains. Not only do we get to see the city in the game in all of its glory, but the video includes plenty of developer commentary on how it was created.
We hear about the four different districts and the center, the iconic Round City built around the Caliphal Palace.
Interestingly, we also take a look at the people that we'll meet in the city and its surroundings. The game includes a variety of biomes around Baghdad on top of the Assassin fortress of Alamut.
You can watch the video below. You can also read about the History of Baghdad feature that will come with Assassin's Creed Mirage.
If you're unfamiliar with Assassin's Creed Mirage, it's coming for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC on October 5. The game has already gone gold and it promises to mark a return to the origins of the franchise after recent entries leaned much more into action RPG mechanics.
If you'd like to see more, you can watch a batch of trailers and gameplay revealed at the latest Ubisoft Forward livestream, another developer diary video, another trailer, a look at the Prince of Persia collaboration items, and a video focusing on protagonist Basim.
