Assassin's Creed Mirage is an action-adventure game focused on stealth, developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft and releasing for PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5 on October 5, 2023.
Unlike the RPG approach of the last 3 Assassin's Creed games that came before it, Mirage aims to offer an experience closer to the original titles. Set in ninth-century Baghdad, protagonist Basim will become an assassin and uncover the city's many secrets.
Basim has access to many of the classic assassin tools, including smoke bombs and the iconic hidden blade. He's also as acrobatic as previous protagonists in the franchise, able to to navigate Baghdad with ease. Once element that does make a return from the RPG Assassin's Creed entries is the return of an bird helper, this time in the form of Basim's eagle Enkidu. It can help spot enemies from high above, letting you scout the area before moving in.
