Nitara in Mortal Kombat 1

Today Mortal Kombat 1 developer Netherrealm Studios and publisher Warner Bros. Games released a new trailer of Mortal Kombat 1 revealing Nitara.

Interestingly, the vampire has the voice and likeness of actress Megan Fox, who accompanied the announcement with a comment:

I grew up playing Mortal Kombat and I can’t believe that I’m voicing a character in the new game. It’s an honor to be a part of one of the greatest video game legacies of all time.

Mortal Kombat 1 - Nitara and Megan Fox

Of course, we also get to see Nitara in action in the trailer, including the inevitable super-gory fatality at the end. Who knew that intestines could be used that way.

You can watch it below, but you may want not to do it at work, unless your employer really likes gore, I suppose.

Mortal Kombat 1 will release on September 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

If you'd like to enjoy more trailers of the game revealing additional characters, you can watch the original revealanother gameplay trailerone showing off the Lin Kuei, one focusing on the Umgadione taking a look at the first DLC characters coming with the Kombat Pack 1 after release, one displaying Geras, and one revealingon Reptile, Ashrah, and Havik

We also have a rather peculiar live-action trailer starring actor and former professional wrestler Dave Bautista

If you'd like to learn more about the game, you can read our hands-on preview in which our Robert Scarpinito goes over his time with a demo at Summer Game Fest and describes the brand-new Kameo fighter system.
