Today Warner Bros. Games and Netherrealm Studios released a new trailer of the upcoming fighting game Mortal Kombat 1, but this one isn't about new and returning characters.
The trailer star actor and former professional wrestler Dave Bautista, and I suppose it's about fighting spirit or something like that. It certainly has a lot of people and a lot of screaming (or menacingly uttering) "Mortal Kombat!"
Perhaps I'm getting too old for this stuff, and this may very well be awesome for you. You can check it out below, and see if it puts you in the mood for a few matches now that the game is getting very close to its release.
Mortal Kombat 1 will launch on September 19 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
If you'd like to enjoy more of the actual game, you can watch the original reveal, another gameplay trailer, one focusing on the Lin Kuei, one showcasing the Umgadi, one focusing on the DLC characters coming with the Kombat Pack 1 after release, one revealing Geras, and one focusing on Reptile, Ashrah, and Havik.
You should also definitely read our hands-on preview in which our Robert Scarpinito describes his time with a demo at Summer Game Fest and the brand-new Kameo fighter system.
Incidentally, the game's story focuses on an entirely different Mortal Kombat universe created by Fire God Liu Kang himself, so you shouldn't be surprised if you see some familiar characters playing completely unfamiliar roles.
