Sumo Digital and Focus Home Interactive have revealed what's coming to multiplayer action game Hood: Outlaws and Legends in its first year with the Hood: Outlaws and Legends roadmap for year one. There's a mix of free and paid stuff including three battle passes, new characters, new game modes, and more.
What's on the Hood: Outlaws and Legends roadmap in year one?
According to the devs, the first year of Hood: Outlaws and Legends will be split into four themed seasons. The first, named Litha and codenamed Season Zero, will bring a new game mode and new seasonal events, along with a brand new Mountain map. Mountain is split into two distinct areas linked together by bridges and will bring new challenges in the form of its vertiginous geography.
In Season One, or Samhain, you're getting a new character in the form of Eidaa, who will have "heist-changing abilities" according to Sumo Digital. You'll be able to learn more about Eidaa in the coming weeks. Season Two is themed around Yule and brings a major new gameplay mechanic as well as new events and cosmetics. Season Three revolves around the Pagan spring equinox festival of Ostara and also brings a new gameplay addition, plus new events and extra cosmetics to check out.
What Battle Pass content will be in year one of Hood: Outlaws and Legends?
As well as that stuff - which is all free for anyone who picks up any version of the game - there's also premium content on the way. You'll need to have purchased the Season Pass or the Hood: Outlaws and Legends Year One Edition to get hold of the premium stuff. The Samhain, Yule, and Ostara seasons will all have associated Battle Passes, all of which will grant new outfits, extra weapon skins, and new banners to display.
Hood: Outlaws and Legends is coming to PC, PlayStation platforms, and Xbox consoles on May 10th. If you pre-order the game now, you'll get access to it three days early, and you'll also get the Forest Lords cosmetic pack, which includes a new skin for every character and weapon currently in the game.
