The Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4 update is finally here, and Epic has given us a look at exactly what's in store for this update.
Yesterday's cinematic trailer introduced vampiric villain Kado Thorne, and he has indeed taken over parts of the Island, bringing new locations and revamping (no pun intended) old ones.
Three new areas - Eclipsed Estate, Sanguine Suites, and Relentless Retreat - are full of valuable items and lots of cameras and laser grids to guard them.
Meanwhile, Thorne has also established dominance over Rumble Ruins, the Slap Juice factory, and a MEGA City Tower, so keep your wits about you if you go anywhere near those places.
Lots of new gear has also been added in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 4.
Three heist-themed weapons are yours for the wielding: the Infiltrator Pump Shotgun, the Scoped Burst SMG, and the Twin Mag Assault Rifle can all be found within Thorne's base.
You can also take command of a Business Turret, which resembles a briefcase while you're carrying it but which folds out into a turret once deployed.
New Heist Bags can also be looted, and they contain useful items like the unvaulted Remote Explosive, the new Crash Pad Jr, and the Rocket Ram, as well as healing items and ammunition.
Many classic Fortnite items can be found within Thorne's vault, including the Midas Drum Gun, the Bottomless Chug Jug, and Zyg and Choppy's Ray Gun, among plenty of other nostalgic gear.
Season 4's Battle Pass outfits include Kado Thorne himself, as well as heist team leader Nolan Chance and even real-life TikToker Khaby Lame.
Of course, this is all in addition to Star Wars' Ahsoka Tano, who joins the Battle Pass later in the season.
Ranks have been reset for Fortnite ranked play this season, too, and there are plenty of new tournaments and competitive events to check out over the course of the season.
Fortnite is available to play for free right now on PC, consoles, and mobile devices. The Chapter 4 Season 4 update is also available now, and you can read the full patch notes here.
